In 1955, our founder, Joseph A. Corrao, borrowed $500 from a local bank and founded US Alloy Die Corporation. For the first two years of our existence, Joe was the only employee while he worked full-time at another job.
Being a veteran of World War II and having spent seven years in the Navy, Joe felt compelled to start the company name with the letters "U.S." as a way to honor his many brothers-in-arms who died in service to this country. After health problems, Joe handed the company over to his son, Tony, in 1979 and remained as an adviser until his death in 1988.
Antonio (Tony) Corrao II is our current President and CEO. His son, Antonio (Tony) Corrao III, and daughter, Rachelle Philipp, are our company's Vice Presidents.
